Sabah MACC detains professor for making RM66,000 false research claims
According to sources, the 55-year-old was arrested at 10am today.
KOTA KINABALU - An academician in Sabah will be charged for submitting false claims involving a research fund amounting to RM66,000.
According to sources the 55-year-old was arrested in the Sabah Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office at 10am today.
Sabah MACC Director Datuk S Karunanithy when contacted verified the arrest and said the case is being investigated following Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
"The suspect was released with a RM10,000 bail with a guarantor.
"The suspect will be further charged at the Kota Kinabalu Sessions Court," he said.
