KOTA KINABALU - Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said that the state government will try their best to appeal if the federal government chooses to defer or discontinue the execution of development projects in the state.

He said although the federal government has yet to inform the state government on possible deferment or discontinuation of development projects, he was hopeful that it would be continued.

"For Sabah, we need a much bigger allocation to develop infrastructure and many others. If this issue arrives to the state parties, we will appeal and ask the federal government to not delay the allocation that was supposed to be given to Sabah.

"This is important because we always state that the allocation given to Sabah is insufficient. To defer or withdraw the allocation is not suitable for Sabah,” he said.

Hajiji said this in response to a supplemenraty questions from Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak (BN-Usukan) on whether the federal government would defer or cancel projects that have not started.
