SHAH ALAM – The Registrar of Societies (RoS) requests PKR to explain the recent PKR polls, party secretary-general Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution says.

He said ROS urged the secretary general of the party to clarify the matter as they have received complaints about the election process.

“Right after receiving the notice, the first thing in my head was that I have to be prepared for the worst, as what happened in DAP back in 2013, MIC in 2015.

“However, please believe that with the support from the new and old leaderships as my last service as the secretary general, I will defend the party with all my might against any actions from the RoS,” he said during the party’s 16th National Congress today.

PKR received over 1,800 complaints of voting fraud following the party polls in May, which led them to postpone its national congress from June to July to make space for a forensic audit of the election to take place.

Among the complaints received were the election process and results were not transparent and there were loopholes.

PKR election committee chief Dr Zaliha Mustafa previously said that the audit revealed there were some attempts to hack the election results, and critics claimed that the audit ignored candidate complaints on the online voting.
