SANDAKAN - After being left by his fiancée, a man decided to hit his former lover’s car in Bandar Indah, here, on Friday.

The man was arrested at about 11.15pm following a video of the incident went viral on social media.

The victim who was in her 20s also lodged a police report over the incident at the Sandakan police station.

Sandakan police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Fuad Malek said the victim who drove a Perodua Myvi lodged a report after her car was hit by the suspect who was also in his 20s.

Initial investigations revealed that the incident at about 2pm, happened at a parking space.

“It was found that the suspect had purposely hit the victim’s car at a parking lot. During the incident, the victim was not inside her car.

“The motive of the incident was believed to be because the suspect was not satisfied that the victim broke off their engagement,” Abdul Fuad said in a statement, today.

He said the suspect has been remanded to facilitate the investigation under Section 427 of the Penal Code.
