SHAH ALAM - PKR's newly elected number 2 Rafizi Ramli has asked party members who lost in party elections to stop making accusations of voting manipulation.

He said the party has clarified the voting system.

"I have clarified on this and Nurul Izzah has also clarified that it has nothing to do with us.

“I think this was brought on by those who lost party election because they were so out of touch with the grassroots sentiment and they thought that personal attacks like these could make them win,” he told reporters at the sidelines of PKR Congress held since yesterday at

He was asked by the media over allegations that the voting system was owned by him and Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar.

He further said he has the right to take legal action over such allegations but would not do so as party members and the public are aware of such lies.

He hoped those who lost would move forward as people to face the 15th general election (GE15).

“I think if you decide to be a politician, you have to be prepared to face for false accusations like this. So long that we have explained, and we have explained it well a few times. Beyond that, we should just focus on getting the party back on track for GE15,” he added.

Rafizi also touched on the voting system glitch that saw uneasiness among party members at PKR’s congress yesterday. He said it should not happen again.

He said there were rumblings during the voting Central Leadership Council (MPP) voting session at the congress as members had problems scrolling down the tab to vote online.

“Due to that, some candidates especially whose names were right at the bottom may lose votes, " he told reporters further saying that such glitch should have been addressed today.
