KLANG - A senior citizen had to endure anxious moments when her head got stuck "in" a plastic chair after falling at her home in Taman Seri Puteri Meru here on Wednesday.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Operations Director Division Hafisham Mohd Noor said personnel were sent to the scene after receiving a distress call from the victim's neighbour at 12.18pm.

"On the scene, the rescue team found a 78-year-old senior citizen lying on the floor with her head stuck in a plastic chair.

"The victim was found in a conscious but lifeless state. The victim, who lived alone was believed to have fallen before getting stuck in the chair," he said in a statement today.

Hafisham said rescue teams took four minutes to remove the trapped victim's head.

The 78-year-old woman did not suffer any injuries, he added.
