Daily Covid cases rise above 3,000 mark, 2 deaths in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 3,264 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 4,595, 974 since the pandemic began.

According to the Health Ministry's Covidnow website, there were two Covid deaths with zero brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

This brings the death toll rate to 35,811 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 35,882 active cases with 34,659 (96.6 percent) undergoing home quarantine.

The CovidNow portal reported 43 patients at intensive care units (ICU) with 26 patients requiring ventilation support.

The health ministry also recorded 2,703 recoveries yesterday.
