MUAR - Two died while nine others were injured in an accident involving two MPV at North-South Highway, Northbound, Pagoh here on Friday.

Pagoh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Operations Commander Assistant Fire Superintendent Mohd Fadli Ismail said a total of eight members and a fire engine were rushed to the accident scene after receiving an emergency call at 11.02pm.

"The accident involved two Toyota Wish vehicles and a Honda Stream involving 11 individuals.

"Three victims were thrown 20 to 50 metres out of the vehicle and one victim was trapped under one of the vehicles and was removed by firemen using special equipment to release him fropm below.

"Two victims were confirmed dead at the scene," he said in a statement.

He said the two dead are Ariff Zainal in his 40s while another male victim was in his 20s.

Those injured are known as Mohd Joe, 47, Norlida Idris, 47, Nor Aini Sofya 21, Adib Mohamad 19, Puteri Nur Anis, 15, Mohd Adib Shamir 11, Mohd Syamel 8, Suzie Liana 41, and Mohd Danial Ariff, 9.
