KUALA LANGAT - Five houses were hit by flash flood due to continuous downpour and clogged drainage system at Teluk Panglima Garang, Kuala Langat, today.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department Director Norazam Khamis said the floods had affected 10 residents who stayed at the five houses.

"As we arrived, the floodwaters already reached one foot deep, but the situation is still under control.

"Hence, no victims were moved to shelter as of now," he said.

Norazam added aside from the continuous heavy rain, the flood was also believed to have been resulted from the clogged drainage system at the affected area.

"We received an emergency call at 10.24 in the morning and our rescue team which included six firemen arrived six minutes later," he said.
