KUALA LUMPUR - Iconic singer and music producer Datuk M. Nasir said he had actually planned to compose a song for the late Adibah Noor.
He said it is still in the making but no title has been given yet to the song.
“Actually I was supposed to compose a song for her (Adibah).
"I have been composing the song for several years now," he told reporters at the Al-Ansar mosque in Keramat, where Adibah's remains were taken on Sunday.
M.Nasir described Adibah as a determined artist who stood firm by her principles.
He said throughout the years they knew each other, those were among the special traits the actress and singer possessed.
“If something is right, she would hold onto it.
“She started (her career) with me as a background singer, and since then I knew she had the skills in singing and quality of her own,” he said.
The "Terlalu Istimewa" singer breathed her last breathe at the Gleneagles Hospital, here, about 6.30pm on Saturday. She died of stage four ovarian cancer.
Her remains was buried at the Tanah Keramat Permai Islamic Cemetery at about 11.55am, today (Sunday).
Among those who came to pay their last respects were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Idris Ahmad, Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil, actor and producer Datuk Hans Isaac, comedian and film director Datuk Afdlin ShaukI, actress Sharifah Amani, actor Remy Ishak and many more.
