KUALA LUMPUR - The body of late Adibah Noor has been buried at Tanah Keramat Permai Islamic Cemetery today at about noon.

Her remains were earlier taken to the Al Ansar Mosque, Keramat at 9 am for prayers.

Adibah, 52 was an actress, singer and master of ceremonies and was well-known for her personality and versatile acting skills.

The popular entertainer died of ovarian cancer at a private hospital, here at about 7.45 pm on June 18.

Adibah's close friend, actress Datin Emilia Rosnaida had confirmed the sad news on Facebook yesterday.

"My dearest friend Adibah Noor passed away at Gleneagles Hospital in Jalan Ampang this evening. She had been braving illness for sometime. Rest in peace Kak Dib," said Emilia.

Adibah, a Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia graduate, was formerly an English teacher. She made an entry into the entertainment industry after winning Suara 90an Nescafe in 1994.

In 2006, Adibah released her first album Terlalu Istimewa, and its title track earned her Best Vocals and Best Song in Anugerah Juara Lagu 13.

Adibah's best known her best known television series and dramas include Phua Chu Kang Sdn Bhd, Oh My English, and Bintang Bersama Bintang while best films include Mencari Rahmat, Magika, Hooperz, Nasi Lemak 2.0, Hoore Hoore and Juang.
