'Cheap propaganda', Rashid says on him quitting Bersatu
SHAH ALAM - Batu Pahat MP Datuk Rashid Hasnon expressed his utmost confidence of Bersatu’s future, stating he had confidence in the party from the day with the party.
This comes after speculations that he and Bersatu Minister Datuk Seri Azmin Ali would be quitting the party.
Rashid, the deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker has denied the speculation.
“I will continue to be with the Bersatu to unite the rakyat and to strengthen goals to make the country transparent, boost integrity, good governance, and fight for social justice,” he said in a statement.
Rashid said he is confident of the party's commitment in fighting corruption and defending the people.
He further said such false news was to create a negative perception to weaken Bersatu, calling it s "cheap propaganda"
Recently, several Bersatu leaders including Rashid and Azmin were speculated to leave the party after Ampang MP Datuk Zuraida Kamarudin did so last month.
On May 25, Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin announced she wuit Bersatu to join Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).
"I see a lot of potential in PBM, especially at a time when Malaysians are tired of the old politics, which stifle the progress of the country, " Zuraida had said.
