MetMalaysia issues bad weather alert
SHAH ALAM - Malaysia Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issues a bad weather alert with thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds expected in several states until 5pm today.
The states of Kedah, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka and Johor had been advised to be high on alert.
It stated that thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds were expected in Kedah (Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu) and Penang (North Seberang Perai, Central Seberang Perai and South Seberang Perai).
It was also expected in Perak (Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar and Batang Padang), and Selangor (Kuala Selangor and Klang).
Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson and Rembau), Melaka and Johor (Tangkak) were also expected to experience thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds
