M’sia records more than 2,000 Covid-19 cases for two days in a row

SHAH ALAM – The nation charts 2,033 new Covid-19 cases as of 12pm yesterday, bringing the total number of positive cases in Malaysia to 4,534,665 since the pandemic began.

There were five deaths, including three brought-in-dead (BID) cases reported due to Covid-19.

This brings the death toll rate to 35,730 since the pandemic began.

At the moment, the number of patients in intensive care units (ICU stood at 32, while 18 patients were on ventilator support.

Currently, there are 24,577 active cases with 23,573 (95.9 per cent) undergoing home quarantine.

The health ministry also recorded 1,337 recoveries yesterday.
