KTM passengers see red over delayed trains
SHAH ALAM - KTM commuter users have expressed frustrations over delayed services during peak hours almost every weekday.
Base on a survey carried out by Sinar Harian at KTM stations, they discovered people were late to work.
Roslin Othman, who works for the Audit Department she had to wait for almost 45 minutes for the train to arrive.
She added her journey normally takes her about 30 minutes but the last few days she is often late to work.
She added the costs of taking the train is much cheaper than using her vehicle but the public transportation system needs to be more realible.
"If I ride the train, I notice the train constantly stops on tracks," she said.
Muhammad Ikhwaul Hakim Mohd Ali, 25, an accountant has also been late to work.
"Every day, I board the train around 7.30am and 8am, today I decided to try going at 8.30am instead.
"I'm still going to be late for work, so I have to work overtime," he added.
Meanwhile, Nurul Halawati Azhari, 46, who works at a government listed company (GLC) said there is no social distancing especially on woman-only coaches.
"It is much safer to have the coaches however if we have to squeeze through. That is not good," she added.
