SHAH ALAM – Candidate of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Gombak division chief Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak stresses that he has handed the proof of allegations to the election committee when lodging the official complaint and asks Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari to instead focus on proving his online votes.

At this point, Farhash said Amirudin, who is the PKR Selangor chairman was only spreading propaganda as the documentary evidence was sent as the complaints were made.

“Amirudin probably knows what propaganda is because this is exactly what he is spreading.

“We handed proof of our allegations together with our protest, which we submitted to the election committee,” he told Sinar Daily.

Farhash countered Amirudin’s statement by saying that instead of spreading propaganda, the Gombak division chief should focus on proving the existence of his online votes.

“Amirudin should instead focus on how he is going to prove his 1,500 online votes,” he said.

Amirudin yesterday asked Farhash to present evidence if the voting results of the PKR polls were indeed dubious.

The unofficial result of the PKR polls had drawn criticism from its members and candidates, who alleged that the voting and counting processes were not transparent.

It was understood that a total of 1,832 reports were made to the election committee urging it to investigate the matter - among them from the Ampang and Puchong division.

Farhash had vehemently called for a forensic audit on the unofficial results of the party elections, saying that there were many complaints and objections from candidates who claimed the results were manipulated, as the vote counting process took place without the presence of third parties or candidates representatives to verify the figures.

The election committee had said that it would decide whether there was a need for them to conduct a forensic audit.

The ineffectiveness of the voting process also saw PKR’s Kalabakan branch chief and 11 other branch members who won uncontested resigned from their posts, citing a weak nomination and management systems.

In the unofficial result, former Pandan Member of Parliament Rafizi Ramli had been announced as the deputy president, over his contestant Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail.
