SHAH ALAM - Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin said she was informed that there is a meeting this week with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

"I am on standby to meet him this week but I have yet to receive information as to when it will be.

"I am still a minister, so I am here to officiate at this event," she told reporters after launching the Malaysian Rubber Council's (MRC) Global Funding for Rubber Innovation (GFRI) on Tuesday.

The Ampang MP said the prime minister has the prerogative on the matter, "so we wait for his decision."

"If I am asked to give up my ministerial post, I will do the needful," she added.

Zuraida said only Ismail Sabri could make the final decision on her ministerial post after quitting Bersatu for Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) recently.

Zuraida added she will attend a Cabinet meeting held tomorrow.
