SHAH ALAM - Datuk Nurulhidayah Ahmad Zahid has praised her father's rival a "sweet talker", stating opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim often has "something positive" to say.

"For me, he is sweet talker. When we talk to him, there is always something positive.

I find him sweet. He is a sweet person," she told Sinar Daily's Politically Frank segment.

She values the relationship Anwar has with his family, especially over his role as a father.

"I really value that lot. We (need to) keep politics aside," she added.

She said Anwar and her family have known each other "for ages and since we were small."

"For me, friendship has no boundaries. I think there are no problems. (We don't mix) politics and friendship."

Zahid is Umno president while Anwar is the opposition leader and PKR president.

Nurulhidayah said the party president should be the prime minister.

""Now we don't know yet. We should wait till GE15, to be fair," she said.

She said Malaysians need to be "more united. We should be happier and be more positive."

Nurulhidayah who contested for Umno exco post in 2018 says: "GE15 no, maybe GE16."
