Law minister Wan Junaidi's wife passes away
SHAH ALAM - Datin Seri Feona Sim @ Norjanah, the wife of Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Parliament and Law) Datuk Seri Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, has passed away today.
The 70-year old died due to internal bleeding.
Her daughter Sharifah Nong-Jasima Syed Junaidi told RTM, that she died at 6.12pm today.
It has been made to understand that she died at the Borneo Medical Centre, in Kuching, Sarawak, and her remains have been brought to Wan Junaidi’s residence in Kuching.
Funeral prayers will take place tomorrow (May 28) at 9am and she will be laid to rest at the Semariang Muslim Cemetery at 10am afterwards.
Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg is expected to attend the prayers tomorrow.
The late Sim tied the knot with Wan Junaidi in 1972 at Rumah Sarawak, which was the residence the deceased’s godfather the late Tun Patinggi Abdul Rahman Ya’kub.
The couple have three children together; Embok Fariah, 49, Sharifah Nong-Jasima, 38, and Sharifah Nuril Barieyah, 29.
