M'sia records 1,825 recoveries, 1,845 new cases

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 1,845 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 4,499,057 infections since the pandemic began.

The Health Ministry's CovidNow portal reported 25,189 active cases, with 24,089 (95.6 per cent) of them undergoing home quarantine.

A total of 1,825 patient recoveries were reported bringing the cumulative number of recoveries to 4,438,212 since the pandemic began.

The country recorded three deaths, with zero brought-in-death cases bringing the total death toll to 43,207 since the start of the pandemic.

The portal also reported 1,083 patients were currently admitted in hospitals.

Out of that, 9 patients were warded at intensive care units (ICU) with 18 patients requiring ventilation support.
