'We hope MN's cooperation remains' - Noh
KUALA LUMPUR - The cooperation involving Muafakat Nasional (MN) is still expected to remain as it was before even though it is now considered as ‘barely alive’.
Selangor Umno chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar however said it was up to the party to decide on the top party leadership
“We are at the lower stage like in Selangor, if it is possible for MN to be as it was before, that is much welcomed.
"However, we leave it to the leadership to decide” he said at a press conference at the launch of the Co-operative Commission of Malaysia Strategic Plan 2021-2025 (PS SKM 2021-2025) held in conjunction with the National Co-operative Day Celebration pre-launch and Co-operative Movement Friendly Gathering at Dewan Perdana Felda, here, today.
He said this when asked to comment on the statement by Pas Deputy President Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man who was of the view that although MN was almost dying, he believed that the notion was still alive.
Tuan Ibrahim also welcomed the statement by Umno President Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi who still gave both parties the opportunity to sit down and discuss on their direction.
Commenting further, Noh said whether MN will survive or not, depended on the leadership of both parties.
"I leave it to the leadership of both parties because each party has its own committee," he said.
