Dr Hasbullah, who heads the pro-tem committee in Rasuah Busters Perak was confident that the campaign implemented would get positive reactions from all parties, especially NGO leaders.

“This is the right time for us to mobilise anti-corruption campaign starting from the grassroots to the top level.

“After this, more NGO coalition will join the campaign,” he said when met at a meeting with NGOs in conjunction with #RasuahBusters convoy to Perak today.

Rasuah Busters campaign in Perak also received support from youth leaders such as the State Youth Council (MBN), the Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC) and the Peninsular Malay Students Federation (GPMS).

MIYC Perak chairman A. Arven said the Rasuah Busters campaign was the best platform for youths to play their part in mobilising awareness from the ground especially the young generation.

He believed that if all parties played their part, the country’s image in regards to corruption would be restored.

“Integrity agenda and prevention in corrupt activities should be prioritised in all aspects of governance in every community and state for a Malaysia that is clean of corruption and abuse of power,” she said.
