Family in Klang lost their home in fire
SHAH ALAM - A family of seven is now homeless after a fire completely engulfed their home in an incident in Kota Raja, Klang on Thursday.
Selangor Fire and Rescue Department chief Norazam Khamis said the department received a distress call at about 5.33am and eight personnel were immediately despatched to the scene.
“Eight firemen and the Emergency Medical Rescue Service from the Kota Raja fire station were deployed to the scene.
“Upon reaching the scene, the operation commander found that two Class C houses were caught on fire.
"The first house where a family of seven lived in was completely destroyed and the fire had spread to the house next door.
"The house next door with four family members in it was 20 per cent damaged," he said when contacted.
He added that all the victims escaped unhurt.
