Former entertainment journalist Mustafar AR dies
SEREMBAN - Former entertainment journalist Mustafar Abdul Rahim, better known as Mustafar AR, died at the Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital (HTJ) here yesterday. He was 79.
The deceased's son, Muszaidi Mustafar, 50, confirmed this in a post on his Facebook.
"Please pray that his soul is placed among the pious," he wrote.
The former Utusan Malaysia journalist, was reported to have died due to health complications and was laid to rest at the Senawang Muslim Cemetery at about 10am today.
He is survived by wife, Zaini Yusop, 76, a son and three daughters aged 41 to 51 as well as 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mustafar who started his career as a journalist at Utusan Melayu in 1972 until his retirement in 1998, also wrote several books including a book on P. Ramlee's films which he compiled with the late actor and comedian Datuk Aziz Sattar. - BERNAMA
