922 Covid cases, 9 deaths in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 922 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to data published by the Health Ministry.

The nation also recorded another 9 deaths due to Covid-19 including five brought-in-dead (BID) cases.

This brings the death rate from the virus to 35,564 deaths since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 31,821 active cases with 998 being hospitalised while another 30,821 cases being quarantined at home.

There are also 69 cases being treated in intensive care unit (ICU) while 46 of them require ventilator support.

The ministry also recorded 5,520 recoveries yesterday.

To date, Malaysia has recorded 4,451,781 Covid-19 cases since the pandemic began.
