Malakat Mall supports World #QuranHour
SHAH ALAM – The World #QuranHour World may nurture the culture of reading, understanding and practising Quran in the society.
Malakat Mall media advisor Norden Mohamed said the programme ensures that the society makes the Quran a partner in their daily lives.
He said Malakat Eco showed its commitment and support to the initiative by making Malakat Mall a venue for World #QuranHour.
“A total of 100 employees will be participating and we will also be inviting the public to join the programme.
“We have a concourse in Malakat Mall, where tarawih and ‘qiamullail’ prayer would be held, and it is the same venue for the programme.
“Before the programme starts, the founder of Malakat Eco Mohamad Fadzil Hashim will be donating copies of Quran to our employees in a small event,” he told Sinar Harian on Sunday.
This year, the World #QuranHour has chosen the Al-Sajdah verse that will be recited live on April 26 at the TV AlHijrah studio.
Norden added that Malakat Mall would continue supporting the World #QuranHour for the coming years.
The programme aligns with Malakat Mall’s concept as a Muslim mall with Syariah-compliant business activities based on the Quran.
“This is the first time Malakat Mall will be involved in World #QuranHour and whatever activities or businesses conducted here are based on our faith in Allah for success in the world and hereafter.
“In Malakat Mall, there is a ‘seven-minute break’ during azan (call of prayer) and all employees especially men are encouraged to join for the congregational prayer. We also make it easy for the public to pray, even when they are at a grocery store.
“Hence it is obligatory for us to support the programme and at the same time entice others always to make the Quran guidance in life,” he said.
