Quran as the solution for the ummah
SHAH ALAM - The Quran is not only exclusive to certain groups but it is the responsibility of the ummah to understand its contents, thus making it the best solution to solve the problem.
Warisan Ummah Ikhlas Foundation (WUIF) founder Datuk Hussamuddin Yaacub said Muslims should strive to be a knowledgeable person by reading, understanding and appreciating the Quran.
“When I started studying the Quran, I noticed that the ways to manage companies, families, businesses and even crises contained in the verses of the Quran.
“So, if Muslims around the world can transmit the value of the Quran to their hearts as well as make it an operating system, then we can change the world.
"We see Islamic countries fighting and declaring war with each other. including us in Malaysia. Leaders are willing to put the nation and religion at stake. So, when I do research, it seems that human beings have lost their sincerity,” he said at the sharing session in the mission to interact with the Quran which took place virtually on Friday.
He said this in conjunction with the World #QuranHour programme, themed 'The World Prostrates' will broadcasted live at Studio TV Alhijrah on Tuesday.
Hussamuddin also the annual World #QuranHour event was established as the starting point to practice the objective of My Quran Hour.
“It means that everyone must interact with the Quran. Interacting means reading, understanding, living, practicing and disseminating. At least an hour a day. That is our objective," he said.
Hussamuddin said he has also conducted a study in which reading the Quran one page per hour will only take two and a half years to finish it as a whole.
“Imagine we start from the age of six, then at the age of eight we already understand and finish the Quran. This will indirectly form the operating system for the mind and morals.
"Therefore, the leader will be a good leader and the manager will be a good manager (if they make the Quran as their reference),” he said.
In this regard, Hussamuddin urged all parties to play their respective roles.
“Maybe we have to think and reflect. As a person who has the knowledge of the religion, the knowledge of the Quran, we should understand our own duties. Not to be a leader, but to produce leaders,” he added.
