Covid-19: New cases recorded at 10,413 with 23 fatalities in the last 24 hours

SHAH ALAM - Malaysia recorded 10,413 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, with cases stabilising under the 15,000 mark in recent days.

This however is only a marginal uptick compared to 10,052 cases recorded the previous day.

However, the country still recorded double-digit death, with 23 new fatalities recorded with five brought-in-dead cases.

This brings the death toll to 35,381 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 117,785 active Covid-19 cases with 114,854 or 97.5 per cent of patients who are home quarantine.

Some 2,411 cases are hospitalised with 184 patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) and 89 patients requiring ventilator support.

The Klang Valley still recorded the highest number of Covid-19 daily infections with 7,446 cases recorded in the last 24 hours.
