PUTRAJAYA – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has urged the public to not make any speculations on the US$10 million that was purportedly given to former Astro Malaysia Holdings Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Rohana Rozhan by former Goldman Sachs banker Tim Leissner.

MACC Anti-Money Laundering Division director Mohamad Zamri Zainul Abidin said the investigation into the assets by the department was still ongoing.

“MACC is still investigating the matter," he said in a statement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki confirmed that investigations into the case were still ongoing.

On Wednesday, it was reported that Rohana had agreed to return the US$10 million given to her by Leissner.

According to a source, Rohana had contacted the MACC and agreed to return the assets from Leissner using funds linked to 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB)

In February, Leissner told the US court that he gave Rohana US$10 million, in which the latter bought a US$7 million house on Montpelier Street in London.
