KUALA TERENGGANU - Two half-naked bikers believed to be foreign tourists were found riding a motorcycle in Kuala Terengganu.

A road user recorded a male rider wearing shorts while the female pillion rider with her undergarments at Jalan Tok Lam, here, the photos have gone viral on social media.

However, the date and time of the photo taken could not be confirmed.

State Tourism, Culture and Digital Technology Exco, Ariffin Deraman said the state government would look into such matters seriously.

"We regret what has happened because it has tarnished the image of Terengganu. The government will not allow this to continue.

"If the perpetrators are foreign tourists and do not know the rules, the state government will enforce guidelines so that they get clear information on what can and cannot be done in the state," he said when contacted by Sinar Harian on April 13.

Commenting further, Ariffin said foreign tourists on the islands are advised to adhere to existing guidelines not to wear indecent clothing or bikinis in public areas.
