Diving instructor found safe in Mersing incident while three others still missing

MERSING - One of the four divers reported missing while diving in Mersing on Wednesday has been found.

Norwegian Kristine Grodem, 35, was taken by helicopter to the Mersing Mini Stadium at 12.05pm on Thursday.

According to Awani's report, Kristine was the diving instructor for British man Adrian Peter, 46, and his son 14-year old Nathan Renze; a Dutch citizen, and Alexia Alexandra, an 18-year old from France.

The three divers - Peter, Renze and Alexandra are still missing.

The four foreigners were reported missing on Wednesday afternoon while diving in the waters of Pulau Tokong Sanggol, about nine nautical miles from Tanjung Leman here.

Meanwhile, Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi through his official Facebook page expressed his gratitude for Kristine's discovery and asked everyone to pray for the other three victims and ease the search and rescue efforts.
