Shah Alam - Malaysia recorded 12,105 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours, compared to 12,017 cases yesterday.

The country recorded 32 new fatalities including nine brought-in-dead (BID) cases, bringing the total to 35,192 since the pandemic began.

Klang Valley continues to have the highest daily case count with 7,570 cases.

Currently, there are 162,216 active Covid-19 cases, out of which 158,343 or 97.6 percent are home quarantined.

Only 373 persons are being treated at low risked quarantine centers while another 3,279 cases are hospitalised.

A total of 99 cases are in intensive care unit (ICU) with 122 of them requiring ventilator support.

As of yesterday, there were 21,029 recovery cases across the country.

The overall number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,280,591.
