KENINGAU - An unlucky burglar fell through the roof of a house he was allegedly robbing in Taman MDK 2, here on Tuesday night (April 5).

The incident took place at about 9 pm. The burglar, who was in his 30s, had since been arrested by the police.

Keningau District Police Chief Deputy Superintendent Nor Rafidah Kasim said a team from IPD Keningau's MPV Patrol Unit and Criminal Investigation Department were deployed to the scene after receiving a report.

"The results of the physical examination of the suspect found that he did not sustain any serious injuries. However, police examination of the body and a bag found tied around the suspect's waist had items belonging to the owner of the house he had broken into.

"A urine test was also carried out and found the suspect positive for methamphetamine," he said when contacted today.

He added that past records showed that the suspect had two criminal records related to drug offences and another burglary case.

"The suspect was remanded for four days and the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code," he said.
