KUALA LUMPUR - There are no new investigations on Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad so far.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan said that so far the police have not conducted any investigation against Dr Mahathir as reported by several portals.

"Police have confirmed that no new investigation has been carried out against him.

"The last time he was called in was on March 23 to assist in the investigation into the book publication of former Attorney-General Tan Sri Tommy Thomas," he said in a statement on Monday.

He said the recording of the former Prime Minister's speech was an old recording of him as a witness.

He was recorded as a witness to answer some questions raised in the book by Thomas titled “My Story: Justice in the Wilderness”.

On Monday, Dr Mahathir claimed he would be called by the authorities for investigation. However, he did not state the reason for the investigation.

"I will be called for questioning. In Malaysia, this is a frightening pressure. Shut your mouth. Shut your ears. You are okay," he said in a statement.
