SHAH ALAM - Malaysia reports 14,474 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, according to data published by the Health Ministry (MoH).

This marks a lower rate compared to 17,476 cases the previous day, marking a steady downward trend as the country steadily moves into the endemic phase.

The Klang Valley still records the highest daily cases with 10,0041 infections recorded in the last 24 hours.

However, the nation also recorded another 56 fatalities due to Covid-19, including 11 brought-in-dead cases.

This brings the death rate from the disease to 35,069 since the pandemic began.

Currently, there are 201,232 active cases with 3,925 being hospitalised while another 196,491 cases being quarantined at home.

There are also 266 cases being treated in intensive care wards while 153 of them require ventilator support.

MoH also recorded 20,383 recoveries yesterday.
