SHAH ALAM - The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah are undergoing self-quarantine at Istana Negara, the palace announced, today.

In a statement, the palace said the King would remain in quarantine until April 7, while the Raja Permaisuri will be self-isolating until April 8, after they were confirmed positive for Covid-19.

They both consented to undergo quarantine in line with the standard operating procedure (SOP) and protocol set by the Health Ministry for those who were asymptomatic or experiencing mild symptoms.

The palace said both the King and the Raja Permaisuri experienced mild symptoms and are generally in good health.

As the month of Ramadhan approaches, the King urged people to remain vigilant and safe even though the country has entered the transition phase to endemic starting yesterday.
