Nurul Izzah Anwar may contest for PKR vice-president post

SHAH ALAM - Speculation is rife that Rafizi Ramli has finalised his selection for his running mates for the PKR vice president's post when he runs for the party's number two post in May.

Sources close to the talks said they are Nurul Izzah Anwar (Permatang Pauh MP), Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad (Setiawanga) and former Kapar MP G Manivanan. Talks on the fourth candidate is still ongoing, added the source.

Both Nurul Izzah and Rafizi have been out from the limelight since 2019. Nurul Izzah had stepped down from the party vice-president post in December 2018 while Rafizi had said he is taking a break from politics.

Rafizi had recently announced that he will be contesting the deputy president post after Datuk Seri Azmin Ali had left the party to join Bersatu in 2020.

Rafizi has launched "Ayuh Malaysia" campaign to woo fence-sitters from the various coalitions contesting in GE15.
