Umno ministers hold meeting
PUTRAJAYA - A meeting between Umno ministers took place at a leading hotel near here on Friday.
However, there was no clear information on the focus of the discussion.
A survey by Sinar Harian found that there were movements of dignitaries' vehicles and escort officers, there, as early as 8am.
Among those present were Communications and Multimedia Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa, Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Tan Sri Noh Omar, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim, Housing and Local Government Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican and National Unity Minister Datuk Halimah Mohamed Sadique.
However, there was no sight of Senior Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin Abu Bakar, Science Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba and Rural Development Minister Datuk Seri Mahadzir Khalid.
It is understood that the meeting took place for an hour before each of them left the hotel building at 9.50am.
The Umno leaders looked surprised when they saw reporters outside the building and even avoided from being approached.
Asked whether there was a meeting between the leaders, Annuar replied in the negative.
"No, we were here for breakfast only," he said.
A total of 11 ministers including Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob from Umno are in the Cabinet.
