SHAH ALAM - Amanah MP Datuk Seri Mujahid Rawa says it is crucial to remove the 'fear factor' within voters as speculation is rife that the 15th General Elections may be called this year.

Citing just slightly over 50 percent voted in March 12 Johor polls, he said it could be due to loss of trust in democracy after Sheraton Move.

“The low voter turnout could be due to failure in trusting the democratic process, but we cannot deny the fact that the fear of Covid-19 is still there too,” he told Sinar Daily.

In addition, Mujahid said Amanah is determined to woo more voters with various discourses on national issues affecting the rakyat.

He said Amanah is looking at specific campaigns, policies, and programmes to engage voters and convince them to vote.
