SHAH ALAM - US Harvard Law School has recognised Israel as an apartheid regime, joining a myriad of other international organisations and institutions condemning their actions against the Palestinians.

This follows after Harvard Law School's International Human Rights Clinic recognised the apartheid character of the Israeli regime through a report submitted to the United Nations (UN) recently.

The 22-page joint report dubbed the "Apartheid in the Occupied West Bank: A Legal Analysis of Israel’s Actions" which was produced with Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association found out that the Israel regime’s activity in the West Bank is equal to criminal acts in breach of apartheid prohibition.

The report also stated the conflict between the Israeli regime and Palestine is mainly concerning discriminatory laws and regulations imposed by Israel against Palestinians, which violate their civil and political rights.

The report was produced for the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel which had call for submissions to investigate all alleged violations or abuses of international human rights in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Commission of Inquiry was established in May 2021 by the UN Human Rights Council.
