TUARAN - Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) has announced intentions to contest at the Tuaran Parliamentary seat for GE15.

Its President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, said this is because two of its state seats are under the Tuaran parliamentary seat.

"Tamparuli is an area where PBS continues to be the people's choice. The other place is in Kiulu. It is very important for us to strengthen our divisions and branches in these two state seats.

"We expect GE to be held latest next year and we are eyeing for Tuaran constituency," he said today after officiating the PBS Tamparuli division annual general meeting, at Dewan Tun Hamdan, Tamparuli, on Sunday.

The Tuaran Parliament seat is currently held by United Progressive Kinabalu Organization (UPKO) President Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau, who won the Barisan Nasional in GE14.

However, Madius later left BN to Warisan after the collapse of Umno.
