Following the official announcement, BN election director Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the coalition has won two-thirds majority in the state election.
Political observers have already attributed BN's win to its narrative of bringing political stability through poster boy Datuk Seri Hasni Mohammad, who has won with a 5,859 majority in Benut.
In his speech following BN's victory, Hasni assured that he will lead and uphold good governance as well as continue to care for the welfare of the people so that no one would be left behind.

The PN coalition which contested in all 56 seats only managed to win three seats overall.
The Election Commission (EC) said only 50 per cent had turned up to vote as of 5pm while the actual percentage will be issued by the EC soon.
Political observers have cited low voter turnouts as the reason for BN’s big win.
