Pejuang accepts defeat with open heart - Mukhriz
SITI NURFATIHAH PIRDAUSSHAH ALAM - Datuk Seri Mukhriz Mahathir said Pejuang accepts its defeat in the Johor state election with an open heart.
The party’s pro tem president said it acknowledged its weaknesses and will improve in all aspects so that it can continue to work for the General Election.
He said the party will work harder so that people would understand its fight against corruption.
“Today, Pejuang accepted the decision with an open heart despite the disappointment since this is a start to introduce the party and we will not lose the spirit to fight.
“Our thrust to tackle corruption is very important and we will work harder so that people will understand this,” he said during a live session on the Pejuang Facebook page.
He also expressed his gratitude to Johoreans, especially those who have voted for them and the people who came to Johor from other states to be present during their campaigns.
Mukhriz said he was aware of the low voter turnout in the state election this time adding that those who had won such as BN should not be too proud of their achievements as more than 40 per cent of voters did not show up to vote and some who came did not even vote for them.
All 42 Pejuang candidates contesting in the state election did not win any seats, today.
