SHAH ALAM - PH's Marina Ibrahim has won the Skudai seat with 26,359 votes beating BN's Lim Soon Hai (12,416) and PN's Khoo Kong Ek (6,258).

In a Twitter post earlier, she apologised to her supporters that she could not reply to their comments and messages as she was busy.

"I am very thankful that so many good people regardless of race have prayed and wished for the best for me," she said.

Marina's campaign period was cut short after she tested positive on Wednesday, just three days before voting day.

However, Marina said she is blessed and thankful for all the love received by the citizens through social media.

A total of 46,144 votes were cast for the Skudai seat with 604 rejected ballots and 507 unreturned ballot papers.

Marina won by a majority of 13,943.

PKR's Tan Hong Pin had won the Skudai seat back in the 14th General Election with a massive 47,359 votes by a majority of 35,126.
