Muhyiddin urges Johoreans to show up for Johor state election, PN candidates present early at the voting station
SHAH ALAM- Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin shared in a Facebook posting that had cast his vote earlier today at Sekolah Sri Muar, Muar for the 15th Johor state election.
He was present with his wife, Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman.
They were casting their vote for the Maharani assembly seat at 9.05am today.
In his post, he also urged the people of Johor to grab this opportunity to vote and not leave it to the last minute.
Meanwhile, Bukit Kepong seat candidate Datuk Sahruddin Jamal showed up at the voting station of SJK (C) Lenga at 8:19am today.
For Benut seat, Senator Datuk Isa Ab Hamid who is contesting for PN cast his vote at SJK (C) Lok Yu (1) at 8.38am today.
A PN candidate for Penawar seat, Mohd Faizal Asmar was also spotted to be presented at SK LKTP Sungai Mas, Kota Tinggi around 10.45am today to vote.
The oldest candidate for the election, Tosrin Jarvanthi from PN arrived at the polling station at SK Sinar Bahagia at 8.15am today.
Meanwhile, PN's candidate for Endau seat, Alwiyah Talib was seen casting her vote at 8.15am with her family at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sawah Dato.
The state election has placed 49,000 election commissions across 1,021 polling stations in Johor with 2,539,606 eligible voters.
The voting process started as early as 9am and will end at 6pm for all 56 seats of the election.
As of 2pm today (March 12), the voter turnout for the state election is at 40 per cent.
