SHAH ALAM - Malaysians eager to get outstation voters to vote at Johor polls are taking the initiative to offer free bus ride service.
The two-way transport is available from five states Penang, Selangor, Perak, Kuala Lumpur and Pahang to Johor election from tonight onwards.
Muda vice president Dr Thanussha Francis Xavier said it is an initiative by Malaysians for young voters as they may face financial constraints to go home.
"Muda is just helping the team to spread the news," she told Sinar daily.
"These are common Malaysians who are willing to help encourage youngsters to vote. People behind this initiative are Malaysians who want to see voters exercising their right to vote," she added.
The bus from Penang departs tonight while the other four leave tomorrow morning.
She said more buses will be available if the demand exceeds supply.
