Welfare department seeks aid to locate Indonesian woman, missing since 2019

SUNGAI PETANI - The Kuala Muda Social Welfare Department (JKM) is tracking down an Indonesian woman who disappeared three years ago, leaving her newborn son behind.

The department's officer, Natroh Ahmad said the woman was known as Leviani, 34, and her last address was Taman Gurun Jaya, Kedah.

Natroh added that the woman gave birth at Putra Medical Centre, Alor Setar, Kedah on March 11, 2019.

"We have informed the Indonesian embassy. The baby is safe under the social welfare department", she said.

However, the three year old, Muhammad Akram Waiz is without a birth certificate due to incomplete details.

The department is urging anyone with information of the mother to come forward or call 04-4204900.
