Johor Polls: Skudai candidate Marina Ibrahim tests positive for Covid-19
JOHOR BHARU - Pakatan Harapan candidate for the Skudai state assembly seat Marina Ibrahim confirmed that she was positive with the Covid-19 virus.
In a Facebook post, Marina said she tested positive two days ago after a self-RTK test.
“Since then, I have undergone quarantine at home and am now waiting for the PCR test results.
“Even with this challenge, my spirit continues with the campaign. I will explore other ways including social media to connect with Skudai voters during this quarantine period,” she said.
Marina said her campaign team will continue to campaign even in her physical absence.
Given that the polling day is three days left, it is likely that Marina will not be able to go to the counting centre to wait for the results firsthand.
She, who is from PH’s component party DAP, faces a three-cornered fight against Barisan Nasional’s Lim Soon Hai and Pakatan Harapan’s Khoo Kong Ek. - AWANI
