The Batman blockbuster restart due to technical glitch, not upon VIPs request, says TGV
The restart was after 45 minutes into the show
SHAH ALAM - After brickbats from social media over a restart of the blockbuster film The Batman at TGV Vivacity in Kuching, Sarawak, shown for 45 minutes, the entertainment outlet clarified it had to do so due to a technical glitch and miscommunication and "not upon any VIP's request."
In a statement, TGV clarified the delay was caused due to technical glitch at their IMAX hall, and at no point has TGV issued a statement or official comment to any media outlet confirming the delay was due to VIPs request who arrived late at the cinema hall.
TGV further said the morning and afternoon shows for the day were also delayed due to technical reasons but their team were quick to fix the problem and the 7.15pm show started on time.
However, it said due to miscommunication, some staff at the entrance assumed the 7:15pm show would also be delayed and due to that 80% of patrons were still waiting at the foyer even though the movie had started.
“We acknowledge the inconvenience in restarting the movie but we assure everyone we are taking corrective action to ensure this is not repeated,” it said.
TGV has also offered refunds and two complimentary movie tickets as a token of apology to the affected guests.
