KUANTAN - The Pahang Civil Defence Force (APM) has mobilised 60 to 80 members and six trucks to aid flood relief operations in Terengganu in stages.

Its director Colonel Che Adam A Rahman said 30 personnel and a truck were deployed to carry out post-flood cleanup work in Kemaman from Thursday

“The second phase is expected to take place next Sunday in Hulu Terengganu which will involve a total of 30 members to carry out post-flood cleanup at the flood-effected areas.

“At the same time, we will prepare personnel for the next phases in stages as needed through the coordination of the National Disaster Command Center (NDCC) of the districts involved, "he said when met after the blood donation programme in conjunction with APM’s 70th anniversary at its Pahang headquarters on Thursday.

Che Adam said previously, APM deployed a total of six officers and two five-tonne trucks in an operation to evacuate flood victims in Kemaman and Dungun, in Terengganu, last Sunday.

Meanwhile, he said the Pahang APM has set a key performance indicator (KPI) to hold a blood donation programmes every three months starting last year.

Che Adam said APM has always worked together with strategic partners to carry out blood donation programmes to ensure a constant supply of blood to hospitals in the state.
